Today did not start feeling like I was going to go hard, but I settled in after the first 100m and went at what I thought I could hold for 5 miles going at effort. Today turned into a tempo run, and it was productive.
Uphills of any kind were more work than expected, perhaps a sign that my legs are tired and maybe I should work raw strength on some days. Then again, I like to eat, so I like to run. I should eat to run, but I run to eat.
Maybe when graduate school is over, I might do better. That might be denial talking too since my schedule will return to its usual structured self afterwards.
Tomorrow will be an exercise in discipline as those are the days I need to start working on pushups and situps. It's coming up to that time of the year again.
