I decided to do something other than run, so instead, today was going to be a day on the erg.  I got to the gym too late to row 10km, so I settled for 8km, but maxed out on the resistance meter - thus the 134 drag factor.  Man, did that hurt.  It felt fine for the first 1000m, then once I got to about 3,000m it started to really suck.  I broke through that initial discomfort and settled into a better rhythm by 5,000m in, and while I was briefly pulling 2:11/500m, it returned back to 2:09/500m, to salvage the rest of it, since the first 500m were done at about 2:04/500m instead.  By the end, I decided to go hard all the way into the finish, and had a zone 5 finish, but my last pull was at 1:59/500m, which I haven't done in a while at any length and any intensity.

I closed it out with 15x15x5x5 GHD situps.  I know it's not good when I have to hold my stomach so I don't have a cramp - or maybe a hernia...that would be bad, bad, bad.

The iThink was somewhat unexpected, but it's hard to keep an iThink in my head when I'm trying to ignore the generalized pain of trying to erg harder, even though I'm not even at anaerobic threshold.  Embarrassing, yet true.

The bonus was erging the fastest time at this distance I've done in a while.  Hah.
