Today was a day I sorely felt like sleeping in, but I got out when I was greeted this morning by thunder and lightning. That's a safe bet I'm going out for a run if it's still raining and I feel even remotely up to it.
My legs were completely dead on much of this run. What really is jarring is my comparatively low heart rate for feeling like such crap. Of course, this might be a factor of waking up and going for a run less than 20 minutes later.
I'm not sure why I didn't think of the obvious New Model Army running mantra today, but for being such a great song, it doesn't fit well with my running tempo. There is no small irony going from Dos Gringos to Kitchens of Distinction this morning, although a little Blur (to the tune of "Song 2") and Soul Asylum ("Somebody to Shove") intruded briefly this morning as well.
