After a nice chat with an orthopedic specialist I decided to do something other than just running. So, it was the first time on the Concept in a long, long while.
When the stereo at the gym in which the Concept sits is playing Linkin Park, it's going to stick. Oh well. Could be worse.
The run back after 4km of erg really sucked monkey balls. It always does. At least my knees don't hurt. Yet.
Today was quite pleasant this morning, surprising for a day that's supposed to be craptacularly hot. Summer's here, and she is pissed.
Today: Sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 100. Breezy, with a south wind 9 to 12 mph increasing to between 18 and 21 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
This is the weather I associate with 20-foot tall sheets of flame going through the plains when grass catches on fire. I saw it at Fort Riley years ago. Nothing like seeing armored vehicles hauling ass to escape a giant sheet of grass fire.
The road to recovery (whatever it is) continues.
