This didn't seem as cold as the temperature might indicate - principally because it was the afternoon and the sun was shining. That said, it was still pretty chilly.

My chickening out this morning was because it was 8.1F (-13.3C for you metric types) at 7:00am this morning and I had no particular desire to run in -11 F wind chill because the wind was 12 gusting 18mph. The temperature has gone up about 2F an hour since 9:00am.

The object was not to run particularly fast (although today was hardly slow), but to sustain hillwork that I started yesterday. At the same time I'll have to dose up on Naprosyn to keep my arthritis from really becoming an annoyance.

I was particularly pleased with my initial splits, although the finish was probably closer to what I should've expected, as my legs were tired from yesterday.

Household6 is headed out of town for about a week and a half since her mother had to be hospitalized. In the meantime, I have single parent duty with the Princess, since Household6 is taking the Sledgehammer. I doubt I can get either myself or the Princess long enough to really play single parent to two kids. That's the breaks.
