We were going far too fast to be any casual effort. I was running right at anaerobic threshold. On the other hand, it was cold this morning. I had so much frost hanging off my hat that it looked like someone had shaken out a cheese grater on my head. I had frost hanging off my eyelashes and a certain body extremity even started to get numb.
Still, for running in snow and broken ice, not so bad. I was very, very thankful there wasn't much in the way of wind. If there had, I'd have been in the hurt box, bad.
