Running on light-pack snow to slush is surprisingly difficult. I found running on broken pack snow was difficult, but going through slush was the worst - it would stick to my shoes and slow me down quite a bit, interfering with my normal running rhythm.
The conditions, otherwise, weren't so bad. Running slow today is livable based on conditions and knowing that I'll speed up later. Once I was used to running on snow it actually wasn't so bad.
