Today was focused primarily on speed, trying to get it done quickly so I could do some errands. Normally, this workout takes me about an hour and a half. This one took just a little over an hour, but I got those economies of scale from shorter breaks, which might make for a more productive lifting session, at least for what I'm trying to do, which is maintain endurance while building strength.
I also needed to get out the door, period. Two days of not doing PT was necessary, but I don't need to get into that habit.
The run going in was pleasantly quick, the run coming back was painfully slow after doing all that work. I was in the suck going uphill after doing all that lifting. The road to recovery is slow, but it's getting there.
The Cobalt 60 song was somewhat of a blast from the past - but that was from playing Wing Commander Secret Ops for a little while before starting. It's always good to play a game where I get to fly around and blow some people's shit away with reckless abandon. Damn, that's therapeutic, although I'm fully cognizant that not everyone here in the United States shares my basic desire to fucking kill shit on a periodic basis.
