10,000m on Concept2 Model D, 43:52.2, 2 JUL 14, Kabul, Afghanistan

Today is day 222 of the campaign.

iThink:
The Smiths, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" from Complete Soundcheck at Glasgow Barrowlands, 1986
Game Theory, "I've Tried Subtlety"

Odometer 13B: 397.0mi

Z4.  Average/max heart rate = 158/170

Today was a measured start to see how much I could get in before I crossed anaerobic threshold, then to see how low I could hold below 160bpm before holding the pace I needed to finish under 44 minutes.  I think this is mostly for my own mental unloading more than anything else, but I don't see a whole lot of other people erging for 10,000m in this place.  Admittedly, some people think it's tedious as hell, but I'd much rather row than run on the treadmill.
