Odometer 3: 365.4mi

Average/max heart rate = 148/167

I woke up too late to get in the six miles I wanted. I'm also roomed with my old running partner from Fort Leavenworth, who is of diametrical opposite philosophy to mine, where I consider any run shorter than five miles as short. He doesn't subscribe to my long distance focus, and his workout schedule is predicated on having the time to do it.

I find I have to make hard choices between work, PT, and sleep, and approaching month 14 of my deployment, I can spare maybe two hours a day. So I run. Or I crank away on the spinner. I lifted yesterday, and going from doing PT once every two or three days is a lot different from doing two a day like I have here.

The other part of it is that I'm not used to working out right after waking up. I do it late when I'm already fully stretched out from being at work. Waking up explains the monster negative splits I ran today throughout the entire run. Normally it's not as extreme as that.
