Today was a short one, in an attempt to maintain momentum with running (or, for that matter, doing anything at all).

The weather was a key factor in today's run where I felt better and the times reflected it. Either that, or heat kills me worse than I thought, even now. That might've been attributed to the light rain we had during our Independence Day fireworks.

I also recognize that some of my peers have a hard time with fireworks, at least the whistlers that explode later. Those might be a tad reminscent of what was going on last Easter in the International Zone in Baghdad when Jaysh al-Mahdi pounded the shit out of the area with 107mm and 240mm rockets.

Myself, I have a harder time with rapid-fire fireworks that sounds like sustained small arms fire.
