Forgot to start my watch when I started pulling.  The level of effort seemed like its usual self - fast start, probably too fast, and then settle in, but the last 1000m felt a little better.  The last 500m was just plain hard, as I was trying to hold the projected time below 25:50 at the distance.  It worked, although I concentrate more on the numbers and trying to get in good form and a hard catch and drive.  As usual, I've gotten slower as I spend more time in recovery so I can get a harder catch.  Whether that is the way to go, is actually not that much more important as I'm not rowing competitively.

Back to the salt mines.  At least I got a haircut, which was my ulterior motive for ensuring that I got in a workout.
