For it being only 75F, it was muggy as shit. What's dismaying are the listings from the last few hours:

Also, not particularly encouraging is today's forecast, courtesy of the National Weather Service:
Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 102. South southwest wind between 10 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Based on that, I figured it wasn't going to get any better and I came to the conclusion that pumping aluminum without moderating what I eat (duh) and not running as much is making me fat. So it's time to start running again. Given my usual aversion to doing speedwork unless absolutely necessary, it's looking like the summer of LSD...long, slow, distance, that is.
On a side note, I have no idea where the random Smiths attack was - the last time I listened to that much of Meat Is Murder was literally twenty years ago, to the month. I recall this since I was a participant in the US Military Academy's Invitational Academic Workshop, where that institution attempts to woo students into applying there (successful) and eventually attending (decided to go instead to Hopkins). I was beating the crap out of that album in repeat play in the summer of 1989.
