Today was very, very sticky, to the point of almost not being able to breathe well when I started. It could also have been a function of going to Em Chamas, a Brazilian Churrascaria, for dinner last night (thanks to Household6 for a great Father's Day gift), and I think I was still burping up meat from that meal. A little more than what I normally fork up for, but it was worth it. Of course, I'm not going back anytime soon as I need to burn off all the lard I accumulated there...

I didn't feel like I was warmed up until about 45 minutes into it, and the brief surge at the 45-60 minute mark is indicative, but I needed to get this run in, especially after not going far yesterday.

Also, so says the National Weather Service:

Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 108. South southwest wind between 7 and 9 mph.

To quote Boston, "smokin'..."
