Today was crazy fast. It probably started that way since I got suckered out in a fast start. The commander of Fort Leavenworth was running with his son (I believe) along the same route. As he burns past me, I realize that it was him and rendered the appropriate greeting...as he was waiting for his kid at the top of the hill. Once I had the momentum, I continued to remain on target.

In spite of it all, I was trying to figure out why I felt so sweaty - although the increase in temperature probably had something to do with it.

I think I probably could've gone even faster had I jettisoned some snivel gear. The 0.28 uphill split after running the airfield (3.82 split) was particularly rewarding since I'm continuing to improve running uphill there.

Still, I can't complain too much for a PR at this distance, given its punishing uphills.

CORRECTION: Not a PR...I set that on 14 OCT at this distance by about 16 seconds. I find that somewhat hard to believe, but I guess that makes sense based on my excessively fast start.
