I suspect my legs were tired after Sunday's ten miles and yesterday's semi-abortive erg session.

In spite of this, I feel reasonably satisified with this run in spite of relative level of effort. I was running right at anaerobic threshold for a good chunk of this run - so approximating about the level of effort I'd expect to run for a ten-miler or half marathon.

I should be alarmed at the pacing, or should I? If the goal is to start speedwork in late January to be ready for the PT test, I need to start paring off the poundage. This means I really need to buckle down and lay off the grease. Relative to the last time I took one with real preparation, I'm about 20 seconds/mile slower. Every pound I jettison will help - and last time I weighed in, it was at 186. Not good.
