I spent far too long last night playing Wing Commander: Prophecy, a game for which I had bought a computer back in 1997. My reasoning was that if I could play WCP on the computer, then it was fast enough to run Microsoft Office 97, which it was. (that's also the explanation for the Cobalt 60 song, which occupied the majority of the run.)

I had reinstalled Win98 on one of my computers, and in doing so, rediscovered the singular joy of WCP (and later on, some other games which really required a joystick to play right, for example, Star Wars: Episode I: Racer.

This morning was not intended to be punishingly hard, as the weather was far more permissive than last week, but it wasn't particularly easy either.

I really need to start my long runs earlier in the day because of the unforgiving nature of the sun.
