I had the syndrome commonly known as Dead Legs today. I had absolutely no power going uphill, so once I was warmed up, I decided to run judiciously and not do anything really stupid. Four miles of almost-wogging. At least, it was after I warmed up.

Still, if I hadn't met my running partner this morning, I totally would've chickened out. He started out a little faster than I would've, but he's dealing with incipient plantar fascitis too.

Yesterday, I watched the Duke Blue Devils eviscerate the University of North Carolina Tar Heels...and revalidate why I call Duke the most lethal attack in Division I. If Johns Hopkins makes it to the finals, it will be ugly, and Duke'll be looking for payback.

There's always a part of me that wants to see Hopkins win the national championship. But I wouldn't have any severe heartburn with Duke lacrosse winning either, honestly. They're a good team and very capable of winning the national championship.
