Z2 start, Z3 low finish.

Today was an experiment in controlled pace. I deliberately started slow and maintained the slow pace, gradually accelerating the pace. The slight offset in the penultimate leg was due to wind resistance. The 55-second difference in per-mile pace was an encouraging sign as I wasn’t trying that hard. I might have gone a little harder than I expected for that distance, but I think the real Moment of Truth is to come in about a week and a half when the long days end up being a 5-and-20 combination. That will be the true gut check...so today, honestly, might be considered junk mileage in some cases.
