Today didn’t suck that bad, in spite of the wind. My jackrabbit start was attributed to attempting to catch someone who had started in front of me. The split times are deceptive, as I started running more efficiently as the run progressed. The slowing splits don’t accurately reflect the 8 knot headwind on the last mile and a half back.
