Today was a totally unintentional start to what would be my PR running the perimeter here by about 3 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to know that in all of about 9 days, I'd gotten into better aerobic conditioning. The Intrepid Coworker picked up on this and turned on the jets accordingly.

He paced me into a PR, improving by some 3:19, which at almost eight miles is somewhat respectable.

I didn't think I was going to run a PR today - but it sure feels good to do so. Today also marks the last day I spent in command, six years ago. There are some who probably miss it - at least where I came from - but I don't...and frankly, neither does Household6.
