I was out for a relatively moderate pace run (one that I could still talk on) and it turned into an unintentional time trial.

I had to return for a fallen warrior ceremony here at Bagram, which necessitated a change in clothes and paying appropriate respect for the dead. There is a noticeable shift in speed, although I find it disconcerting that all I'm good for these days is an 8-minute mile. That's weak.

My knees don't hurt anywhere near as much as they used to - which makes me think that there's a lot less life left on pair 1 than I thought I had.
