I was feeling ambitious, thinking about doing that tenner I'd mentioned earlier this week.

I realized at the 4 mile mark that there was no way I was going to finish ten and decided instead to practice some discretion.

I didn't realize I was going the speed I was...I was hurting this morning, not realizing I was going 8:02/mi pace. It didn't feel like 8:02. It could also be that I was being suckered by watching most of 2d Brigade combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, running in the opposite direction, in formation, which was a reminder that I, indeed, was back in the Real Army(tm).

The 100% relative humidity didn't help much. Too bad it started raining, hard, as soon as I stopped running. That actually would've been okay.
