8.0mi, 56:33+11:59, 6 OCT 14, Kabul, Afghanistan

Today is day 318 of the campaign.

iThink:
The Smiths, "What Difference Does It Make" (I blame one of my coworkers for sparking this by sending me an email quoting this song)
The Smiths, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" from Complete Soundcheck at Glasgow Barrowlands, 1986

WX at 7 AM (11) Oct 06 82 (28) 23 (-5) 30.15 (1021) SSE 5 RH 11

Odometer 14A: 364.7mi

Z4. Average/max heart rate = 158/170

Hard run because I needed to get back, but also because I did two days of "do nothing but eat." Wall-ball with my newly-restrung STX AV8 doesn't count, although I needed to replace the topstring and decided to get rid of the hockey laces and replace them with a thick nylon shooting string that puts a significantly faster release (and more whip) into the stick. I guess I'm glad I packed my attack crosses, just because.

Six laps hard, but I accidentally ran one section too many times, so rather than going for 7.77mi, I decided to just run it out to 8 full. I felt better - but that's not the only thing I have to do today. First daylight run in a while, and I might keep at it now that it's starting to cool off.
