I didn't wake up early enough today, although I have to admit sleep has been somewhat hit or miss. Dare I say I think I miss my memory foam mattress. No kidding.

I got at it knowing I was going to have to move out smartly, so this turned into a hard start and by about 30 minutes in, it was time for a burner of a finish. I was fully warmed up or something like it because I was fully fired up on the last mile.

I went markedly faster today, but I think I attribute that to running in the afternoon, which I rarely do, but feel better when I do. Still, it was something I needed to do.

There's a certain aggression I associate with "Lurhstaap," one of the darker songs in NMA's repertoire, although I haven't been keeping up with their discography. I was quite the partisan NMA fan 20 years ago. The song still retains its vigor for me. Of course, I could say that same thing about The Cure's "A Forest" and I've been listening to that song since, oh, well, 1988. Yes, really.
