Today was a command-drected formation run. I knew better than to expect a large formation run of the same caliber I normally associate with the 82d Airborne Division, but today wasn't ridiculously bad either. There are some officers who can't run in formation at a relatively slow speed (about 9:50/mi), and I find that somewhat troubling - but none of those officers are my students. I guess I should be somewhat gratified at that.

I made sure to get in a 4 mile detour before showing up, though.

The R.E.M. attack this morning is from a YouTube video that I saw yesterday, returning me to when Nickelodeon was really a kid's network instead of a forum for pablum. I do think of the albums, it's a tossup between Chronic Town and Reckoning for which I liked the most. I didn't really much care for R.E.M.'s stuff after about 1986.
