I felt like complete shite this morning. I didn't feel okay until mile 4, a little late. Part of my malaise might be because of my generalized case of the ass of being in a military school that doesn't really value academics because it values softball more than professional competence.

I probably should not have watched the infantry attack scene in the second part of Birdsong in which the attacking infantry are told the artillery bombardment would have reduced the wire that then end up having to breach under direct fire.  It will not help my slowly simmering anger.
