I didn't feel like going very hard, so I didn't go that hard. It's still a zone 3 run, but that's because I was fully warmed up, which is surprising given the temperature outside.
I was reminded of a post on Facebook a while back about a 1999 gathering I attended in Pittsburg, Kansas of fans of the TV show My So-Called Life. It was about the same, cold as hell, and sunny outside, and I did a fair amount of running in the mornings because it was my way of staying honest. That sparked the track from the Titanic soundtrack. The person hosting the gathering was a fan of that movie (in her defense, she was a college student at the time) and so there was some Titanic propaganda on the walls.
The Sarge song was a recollection of something a few months before that, when I had gotten that album while I was in the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, back in 1998, and I was in Birmingham, Alabama for a few things. That was a long time ago.
