Today is National Airborne Day. Ironically, I forgot to put on my 82d combat patch as that's the last airborne division in the Army. There are some in the 101st Imperial who would see that as disloyal, but I think that's a function of being insecure.

I freely admit to being a product of the 82d, where those nonperformers were publicly crucified, which sounds draconian, but is one of the ways of keeping discipline in the ranks.

Today was a slow run trying to get one in while not going too fast. My coworkers didn't want to go too fast - and my GPS kept us mostly honest. Mostly.

The 17mph headwind near the end was always entertaining for the wrong reasons.
