I was tired, but I needed to get one in. So I went, and the weather, while not perfect, was pretty good. Next time I should probably not run facing headlights in darkness, though.
At least it's something, and while not fast, it wasn't particularly slow. I'm trying to assess whether I've begun overtraining because while my legs didn't feel particularly dead today, they didn't have a whole lot of extra energy going uphill either.
At least the shoes feel like they're breaking in. The one thing I can say about the Gel-Neo33s is that they break in well, but it takes them something along the order of 50 miles to do it. I don't think I've ever had a pair of these that felt quite right immediately out of the box, although they seemed to be pretty good (and remarkably consistent) through 400 miles, at which point I decided to toss them, to some extent because of the way my knees felt after running in them at that point. My knees don't hurt as bad right now, but I'll see later today going up and down stairs.
