Four miles. I don't think I've worked so hard to run this pace on level ground. Of course, yesterday's suckathon might have had something to do with it.
It could also be dust and altitude, too. It's been a while since I've felt burn like what I felt in my chest. Needless to say this would have been a zone 3 run - except I was probably well beyond lactate threshold judging how hard I was breathing. I don't normally work that hard except when doing intervals.
This is the price of the road to recovery...
