This is a big improvement from the last time around! I ran some 50 seconds faster than I did in May.
The first two events were pretty uneventful. What differed was that I did very little in the way of pushups or situps to prepare for the test. I had been doing some lifting, and that might have been a factor, but otherwise, between spinning on the Concept and lifting and some running, that was it. I don't feel like I'm at any risk of not getting 100 points on each of the strength events, so that's a good sign.
I felt surprisingly okay during this run. I could have been that I was slightly warmed up, but this run did not kill me the same way that APFT runs do, usually. I still wanted to run faster than 14:29.
I still didn't achieve my standard of 290. This will require some more concerted effort later on.
