Being contrarian, I decided to put in 82 pushups, and 82 situps...given that I'm a member of the 101st Airborne Division.
I went out what I thought was a relatively okay pace, but not abnormally fast. I was pleasantly surprised that I held 6:55/mi in the first mile, but I wasn't surprised that I ran an 18 second positive split. I thought I sped up, but I guess not!
The goal was 290 points, I did so with a 92 point run. 82 and 82 prior nets me 200 points, which is the norm for all of my PT tests.
