Before leaving Afghanistan, I decided to go run the perimeter of Bagram Airfield, where I expect to work for 15 months starting sometime next year. My only other frame of reference is running in Kabul (5877' MSL) and elsewhere at Bagram, (4895' MSL) where relative elevations are a big deal.
